Office hours & appointments

Monday–Thursday, 9am–4:30pm; Friday, 9am–1pm. The practice lists staff availability for emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please arrange childcare before visiting. For scheduling, call (310) 944-9094.

Insurance & billing

The office accepts many insurance carriers, including most PPOs and several HMOs. Ask your insurer to confirm benefits, limits, participation, and any pre-authorization requirements. The practice can submit claims to nonparticipating plans as a courtesy; unpaid professional fees remain your responsibility.

Noncovered charges, copays, and deductibles are due at your visit. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted; please contact the office to confirm your card and discuss financial arrangements.

Your insurance card & authorizations

Please bring your current insurance card to each visit. The financial policy states that without insurance information, payment in full may be required at the visit. Any overpayment is refunded after your insurer determines benefits.

You are responsible for obtaining required authorizations for referred and accepted services. If additional procedures are recommended during your visit, the office will advise you of required authorizations or patient costs in advance.

For nonparticipating insurance plans, the financial policy requires payment in full and/or a credit card with authorization to charge the balance. Read the full financial policy (PDF).

Understanding your bill

Ultrasound billing includes a technical component for obtaining images and measurements and a professional component for interpretation. The physician reviews the technical work and performs the interpretation. Doppler and other procedures may be billed separately.

Your insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) should identify the office as C. Scott Naylor, M.D., A Medical Corporation. The financial policy lists a $30 returned-check fee. For questions about charges, payments or your statement, call (310) 944-9094.
